Award: On successful completion of this course you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised units of competency from the Health Training Package - HLTFA301C Apply first aid HLTCPR201B - Perform CPR HLTFA201B - Provide basic emergency life support
Description: This course is only for recertifying students i.e. those who completed this course within the last 3 years.
Prerequisites: If you are recertifying the Apply First Aid Course book into this course by clicking "book on line" or call 1300 367 428 You MUST present evidence of a current Apply First Aid (Senior First Aid - Workplace Level 2 Statement of Attainment) either prior to, or on the day of your course.
If you are a booking onto a first aid course for the first time (or your first aid certificate is older than 3 years) and would like to complete the course in one day DO NOT ENROL into this course as you must complete the online theory course first. To do this navigate to the "learn" page on our website and follow the prompts. When the online theory is completed you can then ring 1300 367 428 to book on a one day practical course.

This course is practically based and allows you to update the knowledge and skills gained (within the previous 3 years) and revise first aid procedures. You will be updated on changes since your previous Apply First Aid (Senior First Aid) Course.

A current Apply First Aid (Senior First Aid Certificate/Workplace, Level 2) is a prerequisite for this course. Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 3 years with the CPR component being updated every 12 months.

- Cardiac emergencies
- Severe allergic reaction
- Shock
- Bleeding and wound care
- Burns and scalds
- Extremes of Heat and Cold
- Poisoning
- Altered Conscious States
- Bites and stings
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Infection control
- Reporting procedures
Duration: Minimum 8 hours
Assessment Method: Competency based. Demonstration of practical skills, role plays, case studies and a written quiz.
